Distinct has welcomed two new senior appointments to the UK team. Srdan Milojevic joined us last month as Head of Operations, and Ida Xhelaj has joined as our new Help Desk lead. Both bring backgrounds in commercial facilities management that align closely with the direction we're growing in, and both have already started making a real difference to how we deliver for our clients. These appointments aren't standalone. They're part of a deliberate investment in the operational backbone of our business: the systems, the leadership and the day-to-day relationships that determine whether a facilities management service feels seamless to the people who depend on it.
Srdan Milojevic, Head of Operations
Srdan brings over 15 years of senior FM experience across hospitality, commercial property and luxury retail. His career has been shaped by leading multi-site operations and building trusted relationships with the clients he serves, the kind of background that brings genuine depth to how we approach our most complex accounts.
What that means in practice is that Srdan has spent his career inside environments where service standards are exceptionally high and the margin for error is small. Luxury retail in particular operates to a level of consistency that very few sectors match: every store, every shift, every interaction expected to feel of a piece. Bringing that thinking across into commercial facilities management is exactly the kind of cross-sector experience our clients benefit from.
As Head of Operations at Distinct, Srdan leads how we plan, deliver and review service across every UK account. He's also a natural fit for the way we work: measured, attentive to detail, and focused on the outcomes that matter to our clients rather than activity for its own sake.
From his first weeks he's been visiting client sites with our General Manager Dalila Clemson, meeting teams, learning the spaces and getting a feel for how Distinct operates on the ground. The early read from those visits has been straightforward. Srdan is the kind of senior operator who reads situations quickly, asks the right questions, and treats every client account as if it were the only one.
Ida Xhelaj, Help Desk Lead
Ida joins as our new Help Desk lead, bringing a corporate FM background covering contractor coordination, workplace operations, stakeholder communication and CAFM systems. She is now the central point of contact for our clients on day-to-day matters: job queries, scheduling, escalations and everything in between.
The Help Desk is, in many ways, the most underrated function in facilities management. It's the daily heartbeat of every client relationship, and the part of the service that most directly shapes how our clients experience working with us. When the Help Desk is doing its job well, things get sorted quickly, communication flows clearly, and the operational complexity behind every FM contract stays where it should: behind the scenes.
Ida brings exactly the right experience to the role. Her CAFM background gives her real fluency in the systems that underpin good FM. Her workplace operations experience means she understands the lived reality of the spaces our clients run. And her track record in stakeholder communication means she's used to managing the human side of operations as carefully as the technical side. For our clients, that translates into faster responses, better-coordinated work, and fewer of the friction points that make facilities management feel like hard work.
What These Appointments Mean for Our Clients
For our clients, these hires translate into something concrete. Srdan brings additional senior capacity to the operations team, which makes a real difference for multi-site accounts where complex decisions need to happen quickly and consistently. Ida's ownership of the Help Desk gives clients a more reliable single point of contact for the day-to-day, with a service desk approach built around clear communication and fast resolution. Together, they're also central to a broader operational evolution we're working on across the business, and one we'll share more about as it lands.
Looking Ahead
At Distinct, we work from the conviction that facilities management is, fundamentally, about people. The relationships between our teams and the clients they serve, between operations and standards, between what gets promised and what gets delivered. These two appointments are part of a deliberate investment in those relationships, both inside our business and across our client base.
Welcome to the team, Srdan and Ida. We're glad to have you with us.
