Last night we brought a group of local clients together at Clays in Soho for food, cocktails, music—and a few fiercely contested rounds on the shooting sim. It was festive, fun, and exactly the kind of evening that reminds us: the best partnerships aren’t built in inboxes. They’re built in moments where people can properly connect.
Why we bring clients and teams together
In a world of emails, calls, site visits, and packed diaries, it’s easy for relationships to become purely transactional—focused on tasks, timelines, and deliverables. But the work we do is built on something deeper: trust, collaboration, and shared momentum.
That’s why we make a point of bringing clients and our team together outside the usual day-to-day. These events aren’t “nice to have.” They’re part of how we work.
The real benefits of stepping away from the day-to-day
Stronger relationships mean better outcomes
When you spend time together in a relaxed setting, you get to know the people behind the roles. That creates a level of comfort and openness that carries into projects—more honest conversations, faster decisions, and smoother collaboration when things get complex.
Better communication (because people speak more freely)
The best ideas don’t always happen in formal meetings. In person, without agendas and screens, conversations widen. People share what’s working, what’s not, and what they’re excited about next. That feedback loop helps us improve and helps projects move forward with less friction.
A shared sense of team—even across different organisations
The strongest partnerships feel like one team working toward the same outcome. Getting clients, partners, and our team in the same room strengthens that shared identity. It breaks down the “us and them” dynamic and replaces it with something far more effective: alignment.
Space for reflection and new ideas
When you’re constantly “in delivery mode,” there’s little room to step back and think bigger. These evenings create space to talk about what’s next—future plans, new opportunities, and smarter ways of working together.
Recognition and gratitude (that doesn’t feel like a formality)
We never take trust for granted. Bringing people together is one of the simplest, most genuine ways to say thank you—for the partnership, the conversation, and the belief in what we’re building.
Why it’s a big part of who we are
We’re a relationship-led business. We care about the experience of working together just as much as the outcomes we deliver. Hosting events like this reflects our values: collaboration, community, and long-term partnerships.
And honestly—there’s something special about seeing everyone laugh, relax, and enjoy time together properly. It’s a reminder that good work comes from good relationships.
Doing them often—and making them even more frequent
Last night was a brilliant example of what we want more of: real connection, shared experiences, and strong partnerships that keep growing. We already host these gatherings regularly, and we’re planning to make them more frequent—because every time we do, the benefits show up in how we work together afterwards.
To everyone who joined us: thank you for the trust, the conversation, and the laughter. We’re looking forward to seeing you again at the next one. 🥂🌱
