Yesterday, Team Distinct hosted a Brilliant Breakfast in support of The King’s Trust, raising money to help empower young women across the UK. From freshly baked pastries to doorstep deliveries, the energy (and sugar) kept flowing—and the result was nothing short of brilliant.
From Breakfast to Brunch (and Beyond): Raising Funds for Young Women with The Brilliant Breakfast
At Distinct, we believe in turning small moments into meaningful impact. Yesterday, we joined thousands of people across the country in hosting a Brilliant Breakfast—a national fundraising initiative in support of The King’s Trust, helping young women build brighter, more secure futures through education and employment opportunities.
The idea? Start the day with a good meal and an even better cause.
What unfolded? A whole day of baked brilliance that brought colleagues, clients, and neighbours together—raising over £350 and counting for young women across the UK.
Coffee, Cake & Community
Our London HQ was buzzing from the moment the kettle went on. Tables were piled high with homemade crepes, boozy bakes, pastries, and perfectly fluffy muffins—courtesy of the incredibly talented Distinct team (seriously, who knew we had so many star bakers in our midst?).
What started as a mid-morning bite turned into an all-day gathering. Colleagues dropped by between meetings, clients joined us for coffee, and by lunchtime, the Brilliant Breakfast had officially become a Brilliant Brunch.
Beyond the Office: Sharing the Love
When the office quietened down, Carol and Katerin kept the momentum going—taking to the streets with containers of sweet treats and smiles to match. They delivered bakes to our neighbours and nearby partners, raising awareness about The King’s Trust and spreading a little midweek cheer.
Later in the afternoon, we set up outside our office to offer coffee and cake to passers-by—engaging the local community, collecting donations, and sharing stories about why this cause matters so much.
Because when women are supported to succeed, entire communities benefit.
Why It Matters
The Brilliant Breakfast is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a call to action. It’s about helping young women gain the confidence, skills, and support needed to thrive in education and employment.
