Christmas Jumper Day Secret Santa Team Culture

A simple Secret Santa and Christmas jumpers—small moments that mean a lot to our team culture.

Christmas Jumper Day is always a good excuse for a bit of festive chaos, but yesterday we went one better: Secret Santa, a lunchtime tipple (or two), and even a few colleagues dialing in so no one missed out. From Rudolph to a full Christmas cracker, it was joyful, slightly ridiculous, and exactly the kind of moment that reminds us how lucky we are to work with the people we do.

Why we make time for days like this

It’s easy to think of team culture as something you talk about on a careers page—until you’re deep in deadlines, site visits, meetings, and delivery. The reality is that culture is built in the small, consistent moments: how people treat each other under pressure, how teams communicate, and whether there’s space to celebrate together as well as work together.

That’s why we make time for days like this. Not because it’s flashy, but because it matters.

The value of shared moments (even the silly ones)

It strengthens connection across the team

When people can relax together—even for an hour at lunch—you build familiarity and trust. That carries into day-to-day work: people ask questions sooner, support each other more naturally, and collaborate with less friction.

It reinforces the kind of workplace we want to build

A strong team culture doesn’t happen by accident. It’s created intentionally—by making space for laughter, inclusion, and recognition. A Secret Santa and a few festive jumpers might sound small, but they signal something bigger: we care about the experience of working here.

It includes everyone, wherever they are

We loved that colleagues who couldn’t be with us still dialled in to unwrap their gifts on screen. Hybrid working can be brilliant, but only if people still feel connected. Bringing remote teammates into the moment helps maintain that shared sense of “we’re in this together.”

It boosts morale at the busiest time of year

December is often a sprint—project milestones, end-of-year push, and personal commitments all piling up. A light-hearted break can reset energy, lift spirits, and remind people they’re part of a supportive team.

A quick recap of the festivities

  • Funky jumpers in full force for Christmas Jumper Day
  • Secret Santa with plenty of laughs (and a few surprisingly thoughtful gifts)
  • A lunchtime tipple (or two)
  • Remote colleagues joining in to unwrap presents on screen
  • Roley as Rudolph, Marc as a full Christmas cracker—and general festive chaos throughout

Grateful for a brilliant team

Days like this are a reminder of something we don’t take for granted: we’re surrounded by a genuinely superb team. The work we deliver is only possible because of the people behind it—their effort, their care, and the way they show up for each other.

Here’s to finishing the year strongly, and to finding more little moments to celebrate together along the way. 🤩
